Jazzblaster is a term coined by the members of Sonic Youth after they removed the stock pickups from their Fender Jazzmasters and installed Wide Range Humbuckers generally found in specialty Fender Te0lecasters of the early 70s. Premium fittings throughout. One-piece body of reclaimed Prince Edward Island Hemlock (approximately 400 plus years old), African Mahogany neck with Gaboon Ebony fingerboard. 25.5" scale, 12-inch radius. Dunlop 6105 frets with Gibson style fretcap binding on the fingerboard. Kluson Supreme tuning machines, Fender CuNiFe Reissue Wide Range Humbuckers, TonePros roller bridge, Fender Classic Player Vibrato. Rhythm circuit deleted, but routed for it should you wish to add it later. Switchcraft and CTS controls, all full cloth wiring. Thin Nitro Cellulose lacquer finish. This is one of the first few instruments that I built. There are signs of play wear but is a great guitar that sounds fantastic, is extremely well balanced, and rather lightweight.
