For sale is a Hofner archtop electric guitar from the 1950's, with hard case.
Feel free to try your trade. Interested amps in the same price range, combos or heads, a Traynor YBA-1 MKII with a matching 1x15 would be sweet. Also interested in electric basses or electric guitars. A Hofner violin bass would be awesome. Happy to hear whatever you have to offer in any case, partial trades are also a possibility.
The guitar has two low output single coil pickups, which sound full and warm even through smaller and brighter amps. The neck is quite thick, as was common for guitars of the time. Body is a natural relic, looks nicely warn for it's age. I've replaced one of the pole screws, which works and looks fine, tho newer and slightly different from the other pole screws. There is a line at the joint of the neck which has been there since I've owned the guitar. Possibly an old repair years ago? Doesn't affect the instrument at all. The bridge looks to be newer than the the rest of the guitar, was likely updated at some point in this guitars life. Everything else is original. Also comes with hard case, which is in good shape save for the handle, which is wrapped in duct tape. The case is much newer than the guitar, bought it new about 15 years ago.
I've recently had it set up, so it works and plays well. I have a light set of acoustic strings on it, as I like to play it acoustic, still sounds great electric, but would recommend a change to heavy gauge electric strings on this for electric use. Wonderful for blues, country, jazz, early rock and roll, anyone doing a retro act who wants an instrument to suite, or anyone who would like a lovely vintage guitar without the price tag of a vintage fender, gibson, or the like.
