Description

For Sale : 1951 Gibson ES 300 Archtop Guitar $8000 1951 Gibson ES 300 in Collectors grade condition. Full 17 inch body like an L5 or L7. Non cutaway with two P 90 pickups. The tuners where replaced at some time with vintage correct Klusons that perfectly match what it came with. Strung with very special LaBella silverwound 12 to 52 strings. There are barely any marks on the body, neck, and headstock, with the laquer checking so fine you have to get your nose right into it to see any. Straight neck, low fast action, with frets in excellent condition. Remarkable condition for a 72 year old guitar ! The ES 300 is unique in the fact that the two knobs at the lower bottom bout are both for volume, while the single at the upper bout is for tone. This allows so many variations in blending of colour, tone, and volume. This is the guitar you hear in Bill Haley's "Rock Around the Clock" solo played by Danny Cedrone. Chuck Berry also started on the cutaway version [ES 350] before switching to the red ES 355. Warm, rich, and fat tone for Jazz, blues, rockabilly, R&R, and more. Does not have the original Lifton case, but comes with a high quality Guild archtop hardshell case. Do your own research on this guitar, and you will find my price very fair for one in this condition. Not that many out there for sale. $8000 COLLECTORS GRADE CONDITION. No Trades thank you. IF THE AD IS UP, IT'S FOR SALE.
