No Longer Available - Vintage Stella H928 Parlour Guit... $200
I believe it’s a 1958- I think the faded sound hole stamp writing is “S-58-T148 MADE in U.S.A.”Ladder braced, solid birch body. The various Harmony Stella parlour models are known for their authentic acoustic blues sound that cannot be replicated by a modern guitar.
This guitar has various small scratches and dings. The most significant cosmetic blemish is a small gouge in the lower back - see photo. A portion of the high ridge is missing on the nut on the bass side- see photo. This was the situation when I acquired the guitar in the 80s and it has never affected playability. The sound hole is slightly dipped at the neck. The real issue with this guitar from the beginning of my ownership is the high action . It is ok at the first three frets but just under 1/4” at the 12th fret.
This guitar deserves an open tuning slide blues player or someone who can fix the action.
Currently stored with sound hole sponge and tuned 1 step down.
Sold “as is”.
