1968 Fender Telecaster (Refinished Blue Flower)

For sale is a beautiful 1968 Fender Telecaster! This guitar was originally one of the "Blue Flower" models, released alongside its counterpart the "Pink Paisley" model, which was only manufactured between 1968-69. After years of research, to the best of my knowledge everything is 100% original, including the case, except for the pickguard which was changed from the clear one to a black one way back in the day. It was very common and essentially routine for all these models to have the original “wallpaper” type finish to wear and tear and eventually start to peel off the bodies, and the majority of owners had to have the guitars refinished. It plays and sounds fantastic with no electrical, body, neck or hardware issues whatsoever. This would make a fine piece for a collector or player alike.

This guitar has only ever had 2 owners in its lifetime, my grandpa and then myself. There are well over 50 photos I have taken of the guitar showcasing every angle and part of the guitar. Within the photos are actual original polaroids of my grandpa playing the guitar back in the day when it had its original finish. There are also some super close-ups of the bridge where you can see slight fragments/remnants of the original finish. Over the years the blue started to turn to green, which can be seen online in other photos of the same guitar for comparison. All of this adds further to the proof of its authenticity. The handful of guitars still intact with the original finish to this day are far and few and valued upwards of $27,000 CAD (to $50,000 CAD depending on condition).
