Les Paul Guitar (1978) by Shiro (Extremely Rare Guitar)
For Collectors or New Guitar Players alike. Own a piece of History. This is a Shiro 1978 Les Paul Copy. It is one of the Famous and Extremely Rare Guitars made during the "Lawsuit" Era created by the Aria Japanese Guitar company. A little history lesson : Shiro guitars were copies of USA classics Les Paul, SG, 335 etc. plus some original shapes. “Shiro” guitars had been produced by ARIA TATSUNO & ARIA NAGOYA GUITAR FACTORIES around 1970 – 1982 or 1983. The Aria guitar line was made in Japan and sold under the name of “Shiro”. “Shiro” is named from Shiro Arai, founder of ARIA GUITARS, ARAI & CO., INC.” (This information found on Internet search.) I'm the original first owner of this beautifully crafted replica purchased around 1979. This Shiro Les Paul copy is the only one that I have ever seen with a set neck and in this color. It was made by Aria Pro strictly for their high end Japanese market. It has a bound body, neck and headstock with rosewood fingerboard with Mother of Pearl inlays. The Les Paul body has Japanese made DiMarzio copy pickups with 2 tone and 2 volume knobs, 3-way pickup selector switch for the pickups. Overall, the guitar is in Excellent condition and plays great as you can see in the photos. (Volume Knobs have light crackle nothing that can't be easily fixed with a good contact cleaner solution). Currently strung with Official Gibson Strings. Selling the Guitar for $550.00 With Hardshell Case & 10ft Connect Cable.
