ES-335 Copy Made in Japan Lawsuit Era

Description

This late-70s/early-80s El Degas guitar is in very good condition, and was most likely built in the Chushin Gakki factory at the end of the so-called "lawsuit" era. It has excellent action, a smooth, slim neck and great frets. It has all the features found on the better-known MIJ guitars from that era, and a few more: set neck construction, factory installed DiMarzio pickups with a coil tap, sealed tuners, tune-o-matic ABR-1 style bridge, trapeze tailpiece, inlaid block fret markers, and a Gibson-style open-book headstock profile. The hardware has been upgraded to equivalent or better gold finish parts with just the right amount of wear, sourced from Greco guitars. It had a Bigsby at one time, so there is a small hole on the top behind the bridge. It comes with a sturdy SKB hardshellcase. All hinges and latches work properly. This is a great step-up guitar for a beginner or intermediate guitarist, or a back-up for a pro. Not really looking for trades, but I would consider a first year blonde Fender Road Worn Telecaster in original condition + cash from you, or a Fender Vibrolux Reverb USA + cash from me. Pickup in Oakville, QEW and Trafalgar, cash only.
