Gibson Sonex 180 Standard Project
For sale is an all original Gibson Sonex 180 Standard including the highly sought after Dirty Fingers pickups.
The neck has been broken at the heel and headstock but repaired in the past. The repairwork looks and feels solid, but the paint has been redone. The finish on the neck is a bit rough feeling but does a good job hiding the repairs. The neck is straight and the truss rod functions fine. Unfortunately the Gibson logo is long gone, but a serial number does remain which indicates the guitar was made in Nashville TN October 15th 1980.
This is an incredibly cool guitar and definitely deserves to be played again. The pickups are in the guitar but they aren't soldered in currently. I unfortunately don't have the time or expertise to properly reinstall them so I want to pass the project on to somebody who does.
These guitars usually sell for between 1000-1500 online. This one is in rough shape but has great parts and is 80% of the way to functioning.
