This is a '70s MIJ lawsuit era Les Paul, a vintage guitar with a unique history and sound. This guitar has seen some action, so it's in used condition, with some cosmetic wear and tear, which adds to its vintage vibe.
From my understanding of the lawsuit LPs, Gibson's complaint centered around the "open-book" headstock. Japanese companies like Ibanez and Univox continued to make copies but removed their names and logos from the headstock. Previous owner traced this one back to Univox, so the pickups may be Maxons.
