I have experience working with patients in Palliative Care, as well as those with Dementia, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s disease, and Spinal Cord Injury. I hold an AED level C first aid certificate, a certificate in Approaches in Dementia Care, have received the Covid vaccine, and have a clear police record. I have worked in a in a long-term care facility and also the community, where I have helped residents with their personal care needs. This includes assisting them with tasks like bathing, dressing, grooming, and using the restroom. In addition, I provide general care for residents who are bedridden, which involves positioning them, helping with their elimination needs, skin care, delivering meals, and assisting during mealtimes. I also apply topical medications, such as creams and lotions for skin care, as instructed by healthcare professionals. I observe and report any changes in the physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing of residents.
