I am a 26 year old female looking to take on a private client now that I am finished nursing school. I am able to accommodate weekends as of April 21st. I am casual at Parkwood hospital so I can be very flexible with hours.
Skills and Assets:
• Able to perform functions that require heavy lifting, bending, standing, walking, pushing and pulling
• Assist patients with ADLS, ambulating, feeding, recreation activates, pottering, grooming and personal hygiene such as bathing and showering
• Demonstrated problem solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills
• Demonstrated skills in IV management, wound care, JP drains, IM and SC injections, and head to toe assessments including cardiovascular and lung/thorax assessments
• Demonstrated skills in wound packing, insulins and CBG’s, and catheter insertions on both female and male anatomy
• Thorough understanding and commitment to patient and family centered care principles and ability to use in practice
**Please note I am a certified PSW, and have just finished nursing school - I have not completed my licensing exam yet therefore nursing skills and tasks cannot be completed. Only skills within a PSW scope can be completed.
