Recreational Therapist Wanted – Home Visits (Part-Time)

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Recreational Therapist to provide engaging, one-on-one recreational therapy for a 96-year-old male senior in his home. Location: Near Highway 427 & Major Mackenzie Road (home visits required) Schedule: Minimum 1 hour per visit. At least 5 days per week Days and times are flexible and can be arranged mutually. Responsibilities: Plan and facilitate meaningful recreational and therapeutic activities. Promote cognitive stimulation, social engagement, and overall well-being. Adapt activities to the senior's interests, abilities, and hearing limitations. Encourage conversation, companionship, and participation in enjoyable activities. Requirements: Experience working with seniors is preferred. Recreational Therapy education or relevant experience is an asset. Must be able to travel to the home for scheduled visits. The client is hard of hearing, so patience and clear communication are essential. Preference will be given to candidates who speak Punjabi, as it is the senior's first language.
