Dental Technician- Dentures

Pay: CA$34.00-CA$38.00 per hour Job description: We are seeking an experienced Denture Technician to lead our Denture Department. The ideal candidate is an expert in the fabrication and finishing of removable prostheses and has a proven ability to lead, train, and manage a team of denture technicians. The candidate will manage workflows and maintain machinery and stocking items. This role is responsible for ensuring the quality, productivity, and efficiency of the department while supporting a collaborative, positive, and results-driven team environment. Key Responsibilities Department Oversight: Supervise and coordinate the daily workflow within the Denture Department, ensuring work is completed on time and to company standards. Technical Expertise: Perform fabrication and oversee the design, fabrication, and finishing of full and partial dentures, implant-supported prostheses, and other removable appliances. Staff Leadership: Train, mentor, and evaluate team members, providing constructive feedback and identifying opportunities for skill development. Quality Control: Maintain and enforce quality standards, inspecting work for fit, finish, and accuracy before it leaves the department. Workflow Optimization: Streamline department processes and implement best practices to optimize efficiency and turnaround times. Material and Equipment Management: Maintain and oversee department equipment, inventory, and ordering of materials as required. Communication: Serve as the point of contact between the Denture Department and other departments, clinical staff, and external clients. Compliance: Ensure all work complies with relevant regulations, quality standards, and internal policies. Qualifications Experience: Minimum of 4 years as a Denture Technician with hands‑on experience in removable prosthesis fabrication. Leadership: At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a dental laboratory. Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in traditional and digital denture design and fabrication techniques. Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities. Problem‑Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical or workflow issues quickly and effectively. Team‑Oriented: A collaborative mindset and proven ability to motivate and support team members. Computer Skills: Familiarity with 3Shape is an asset, but not a necessity.
