Caregiver PSW needed for a quadriplegic woman

I am a 49 year old woman, in a wheelchair, almost fully paralyzed (both arms and legs). I am nonverbal, and use a computer device to communicate (typing with my eyes). I also use body language, spelling and language shortcuts, posters and labels. I live with my husband and 3 school age daughters. Help is needed with all daily activities. I am looking for a female caregiver for a few evening/afternoon shifts per week to take care of me and the house. This is a commitment to me and my family. This is not a job where you can just pick up a few shifts.  It will take a few months for you to learn how to understand me and to get used to my routine. I am looking for someone who will stay with me for at least 1 year, hopefully longer. Salary  $21 - $25 per hour (based on your experience) Schedule  Wednesday 6pm - 9pm  every other Saturday and Sunday, 1pm - 9pm (with 1 hour break) Possibility of some additional shifts.  Location Private home on Fortye Dr, Peterborough, near Fleming College. Duties: Kitchen cleanup after dinner. Some food preparation for the next day (mainly meat). Giving me water ( through a  feeding tube ), special soup ( using a cup ), and sometimes spoon feeding me. Brushing my teeth and washing my face, sometimes a sponge bath while I am sitting on the toilet. Changing my clothes. Doing my laundry. Putting me on the toilet and to bed (pivot transfers). Requirements: Physical strength to lift me from my wheelchair and the toilet. Attention to detail. Strong common sense. Maturity to handle the tasks mentioned above. Ability to follow written instructions. Experience with the feeding tube will be a definite asset. Training will be provided.
