Title: Registered Practical Nurse
Location: Peterborough, ON
Type: Full Time (Weekends as needed)
Rate: $30-32/hr.
Timings: Morning, Afternoon & Night
Opportunity
Agile Healthcare seeks several Professional nurses for home care and long-term care facilities. As an RN or RPN you will provide assistance to patients requiring various types of care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate records, collaborate with the team, and educate staff, residents, and families.
• Use nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care of residents.
• Able to work in fast turnaround areas and in critical patient situations.
• Update patient charts and electronic health records.
• Assists clients in all activities of daily living/ hygiene assistance, bathing, and administration of medications.
• Familiarity with the Regulated Health Professions Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, WHMIS, and the Standards of Practice of the College of Nurses of Ontario
Key Requirements:
• 1 year experience as a Nurse in Canada is preferred.
• Experience working in retirement home/long-term care is an asset.
• Current RPN registration with CNO
• Valid CPR/First Aid Certification
• Valid Vulnerable Sector Check
• Excellent communication skills and empathy.
• Reliable transportation.
• Must be able to commit to schedules with no foreseeable changes in availability.
