I have no idea how else to describe this. Back in 1992, when I didn't have a summer job between semesters of university, I was making parrot mobiles and selling them for $35 a pop. (No, seriously) They are not from a kit - they are all hand cut from wood and painted (in various states of completion as per the photos). Sold a bunch of them, and towards the end of the summer I had this leftover collection of unfinished (and one nearly finished) parrots. In the photos where you see the parrot hanging from the ceiling, that one is complete and has been hanging ever since (almost 30 years now!). The rest would make a fun project for someone to finish off and perhaps sell like I did way back when. All that is needed is whatever pain is required to finish them off, some fishing line and some split shot to fasten the line in the holes. All of this has been sitting in a plastic bag for the past 3 decades.
