PENDING: Dutch harness cross

Casually listing my gelding for sale. I’m in no rush to sell, a perfect fit is a must. Apollo is a 18 year old Dutch Harness/Clyde cross. He stands just shy of 17hh. He is an X-Amish horse and has many years experience driving both single and double. He is traffic safe and good with cyclists. I have been transitioning him from a driving horse to a riding horse and he has been very accepting of everything I have asked of him. I have rode him alone many times and with groups, he is good both ways. We have rode in bushes, on the rail trail, through fields and on the road. Mostly just been walking and trotting but he does canter, just takes a little more pushing to get him into a canter (he’s definitely spent a lot of years at a trot while pulling a buggy). All that being said, he is NOT a beginners horse or a husband horse. He requires someone with experience. He does get impatient when asked to stand, but settles quickly when in motion. He is more than happy to just walk along at a leisurely pace. I do have a couple videos upon request. Some other info…. -teeth floated June 2026 -vaccinations done June 2026 -feet trimmed regularly every 6-8 weeks (due to be trimmed again Aug.4) -dewormed May 2026 -good with all animals (lives with donkeys and another horse) no reaction to sheep, cows, dogs, etc -respectful of fences -trailers -baths -gentlemen to work with but can be difficult to bridle (I believe he was treated poorly in the past, he has the broken tooth to prove it) -middle of the pecking order -sells with bridle, fly masks and rain sheet -asking $2500 Trailering available for cost of fuel -will consider trade for a yearling filly (QH preferred) or a miniature donkey
