Maritime Home for Sale

This home is beautiful and I love it, but I have come to an age and stage in life when it is time to downsize. It features 9.45 acres of land, some of which offers a view “to die for” as far as the eye can see. I used it for target practice since I could not hurt anyone if I missed. My favourite thing to do was to take a book and coffee and sit and listen to the birds and look out into the distant hills which turn pretty colours in the fall. In earlier years, it apparently was a garden. Now more about the house: It has a cozy family room, and 2 living rooms, or parlours in Victorian description. It features hardwood/tile floors. The entrance is like a sunroom...full of windows. All the windows in the house open and are screened, and have wide windowsills. The attic has recently been insulated with 28 bags blown in. It has a new metal roof, and new entrance steps and a rebuilt very large deck that was finished the end of July. In the back yard is a large garden shed with newly built ramps for ease of moving the lawnmower. Also there is a cute 2 story playhouse that can be used as a shed as well. The master Bedroom and bath are on the main floor. There are 4 sources of heat: Oil, Wood (oil/wood Combo furnace), a Quadra Fire Pellet stove, and electric baseboard heaters in some rooms. Oil tank was replaced in 2016. Comes with Fridge, Stove and dishwasher and laundry is on the second floor. Almost all this home has been newly painted and shows well. The original fireplace has been cleaned up and capped and now holds an electric hand painted log set from Napolean with 5 heat settings. The yard has an Apple tree with 6 grafted species, rhubarb, few raspberries, and several choke cherry trees. There are 2 garden boxes for planting a little garden. The meadow with the view has a nice little patch of wild Nova Scotia blueberries. This could be a lovely home for you in Springhill. Someone told me this afternoon that anywhere in Nova Scotia is like being at a cottage. I agree!
