Offered for sale is a vintage general store showcase (circa 1950). This piece is nicely constructed with a wood frame housing a glass top and glass sides to showcase a general store's featured items. This fine piece features rear-sliding solid wood doors, revealing ample storage space for items of choice. The wood (I believe) is mahogany, with a lovely patina developed over time. Interior display doors feature mounted mirrors, to help create an impression of quantity and depth to the consumer. A hole has been drilled at both sides of the unit, presumably to feed electrical wiring into the piece. The base of the case, although sturdy, could use some refinishing.
This showcase measures approximately 47"W X 17.75"D X 42"H. The display platform (surrounded by glass enclosure) measures approximately 12"H X 45"W X 16"D. Two shelves below measure 8.5"H and 10"H accordingly.
This vintage piece is presented in excellent overall condition. NO breaks or repairs to the glass panes.
