MCM Cyprus Knee Wooden Lamp With Two Tone Lamp Shade

This is a unique, one-of-a-kind Mid Century Modern table lamp most likely from the late 1950s to 1960s time period. No two Cyprus knee lamps are identical. These lamps utilize the root structures (knees)of the bald Cyprus trees which are common in the southern United States. These lamps are common in states such as Florida and Louisiana. This is a very large table lamp. Dimensions: Height to the top of the lamp shade - 28 1/4 inches Height to the top of the lamp finial - 31 inches Lamp shade diameter -16 1/4 inches Height of lamp shade - 10 1/2 inches Base Dimensions - approximately 7 1/2 inches x 7 1/2 inches Overall, lamp is in good condition, lamp shade is in very good to excellent condition. Note on the back side of lamp body, there is a vertical hairline crack approximately 5 1/4 inches in length, likely the result of the wood drying over 60 years. It does not detract from the overall appearance of this lamp. Please carefully review all photos for details and condition of this item. This lamp can be picked up in Owen Sound, Ontario..
