32" H * 22" D Vintage Tiffany Style Lamp, Stained Glass lamp, Dragonfly Motif, Mahogany Bronze Base
Lamp Shade: Red dragonflies with glowing red jeweled eyes, segmented bodies, and delicate filigreed wings dive across forests of green & blue.
The stunning 22 inch diameter domed shade is accented with red, blue, and green jewels through out, inserted among the multitude of colorful and textured, fitted, stained glass, pieces. Each glass piece is hand soldered in place using traditional cooper foil techniques. Lamp was fabricated using unique, high labor intensive, handcrafting, methods. The same techniques that were developed and used by Louis Comfort Tiffany of Tiffany Studio in the early 1900’s to produce the original Dragonfly Lighting Fixtures. Lamp shade is supported in place by 4 bronze support arms.
Stand: Heavy metal stand was cast using 1/4 inch thick solid bronze metal. Bronze stand has oxidized over time achieving a warm shade of dark mahogany. Applied mosaic inserts to the stem were installed in 16 vertical columns around the stem using tiffany-style, 'turtle back’, light aqua colored, glass tiles.
Located above the stem is a bulbous bowl, 7 1/2” diameter x 7” tall, containing within a small light fixture (back light) with 8 oval 4" x 2 1/2” hand made amber pearl glass inserts equally spaced around the circumference of the bowl.
Above the bowl are 3 pull-chain light fixtures, a shade support stand (threaded), topped with a bronze finial.
