At the heart of your training! Forerunner 15 captures essential stats about your running sessions, like time, distance, and pace.
Paired with a heart rate strap¹, it also records your heart rate and heart rate zone to let you know if you hit a specific target. Training with the heart rate function also lets you know when you need to slow down and vice versa, when you can pull on the rope a little more.
Monitor your activity between sessions
Do you want to count the number of steps you take each day during the day, when you are at rest? It is now possible, and there is no need to wear an additional activity tracking device. Forerunner 15 counts your daily steps and the calories you burn throughout the day. When you upload your data to Garmin Connect, you have access to information about your progress against your sport goals and data about your general fitness.
The Forerunner
15 also reminds you when it's time to move if you've been sitting for over an hour. When this signal sounds, all you need to do is walk for a few minutes to reset the inactivity indicator.
Motivation boosted with every kilometer
The Forerunner 15 also has a function called “Auto Lap”, which sends you a signal for each kilometer traveled.
A friendly beep sounds and the backlit screen flashes showing the time it took you to travel the kilometer in question.
Once the run is complete and saved, you get a summary of your performance which includes total time, distance, average pace and calories burned.
Forerunner 15 also notifies you when you hit a personal best, such as your fastest mile or longest run to date.
Train indoors and outdoors
For outdoor runs, Forerunner 15 relies on GPS to accurately record your time, pace, and distance. To track distance and pace while running on the treadmill or on an indoor track, simply pair your Forerunner 15 with an optional foot pod, which attaches to the shoe laces.
Wear it all day
With the Forerunner, you don't have to worry about charging your device the day before for the next day.
Its rechargeable battery lasts for 5 weeks in watch/activity tracking mode or 8 hours when the GPS is active, during your outdoor sessions. The Forerunner 15's water resistance rating is 5 ATM (50 meters).
In other words, the watch is suitable for sessions in the rain or particularly intense, and can accompany you during your pool sessions.
