These two items are an antique Victorian-era buckle bangle bracelet, dating from the mid-late 1800s. These pieces were popular "sentiment" jewelry of the time, where the buckle motif symbolized eternity or an unbreakable bond especially during marriages. * Manufacturer: The piece may be attributed to makers like W.E.W. & Co., who were known for producing similar gold-filled designs with ornate hand-engravings. * Material: It is likely gold-filled or rolled gold over a base metal like brass. Rolled gold is a thick, durable form of plating invented in the late 18th century. * Design: Features include a decorative front clasp (often meant to resemble a buckle) and an adjustable band with multiple "keyhole" notches for sizing, typically ranging from 5.5 to 7 inches. * Detailing: The band frequently displays floral etched or engraved designs.
