VINTAGE CIRCA 1950 QUALITY ROYAL DOULTON CHINA SERVICE FOR 8

Excellent quality English china set made by Royal Doulton circa 1950. Service for 8+ in mint condition. Looks like it was only used for special occasions. 8 x dinner plates 8 x salad plates 8 x bread and butter plates 8 x saucers 8 x tea cups 8 x dessert bowls 1 x covered sugar bowl c/w lid 1 x creamer. 51 pieces Pattern is called GLEN Auldyn likely named after the Glen Auldyn area on the Isle of Man. Nice pattern that should be easy to add pieces to if you want to collect a larger set. No chips, cracks and minimal or no scratches. Lovely set. Comparable to Royal Albert, Paragon, Wedgwood and Minton in quality. Made in England. Royal Doulton started making china in 1902 and continued until being bought by Wedgwood. Excellent gift for someone. I have 2 sets of this pattern if you want to make a single large set suitable for large family gatherings. The style of china is very similar to Minton which became part of Royal Doulton after WW2.
