Attention to architectural details highlighted by the St. Andrews Civic Trust in the St. Andrews Heritage Handbook and reuse of original stonewalls on site is among the features promoted to encourage a consistent development theme. The development is intended to compliment the 1998 designation of Saint Andrews as a national historic site that continues to be a natural choice as a fashionable summer resort and retirement community.
