Great starter pigs! These guys are very easy to handle with gentle temperaments and fun personalities. Belly scratches and fresh grass are their favourite and they don’t need much for shelter. We chose not to register any of the pigs but do have the lineage paperwork for sows and boars if required.
KuneKunes are generally not big on “rooting” but since we live in such a wet climate they do make a big muddy mess of their area if not regularly rotated.
KuneKune meat is considered “the Kobe beef of pork”. Since they take longer to mature than commercial pigs, their meat is richly flavored, dark pink-red and marbled with fat, much like beef
