Silkie chicks available in the Ottawa Valley. A variety of colours are available, especially black, grey and splash. Hens and roosters that the eggs come from shown in pictures.
Silkies are fun chickens. They're small, cute, fluffy and docile so tolerate all of the snuggles. They're great for tiny humans and if they're handled early on, become great companions. Ours are handled regularly from day one and we've added show quality hens to our breeding stock so they're extra fluffy.
We also breed for resilience and foraging ability, so they're better at taking care of themselves and keeping the unwanted bugs out of the garden.
We can't guarantee colour or gender in chicks, but if you're not happy with what you end up with, let us know! We're a small farm now but we've lived with a 4 chicken minimum and the disappointment of ending up with all roosters. Watch out though! Silkie chicks turn into beautiful silkie chickens and you won't be able to get enough :)
