Description
1990 Honda XR600R with Baja Designs street legal kit. I’ve owned it since 1998, and had it on the street plated so I have the TOD. Hasn’t been ridden in about 14-15 years. It got hard to start once it got warm, and eventually just lost spark. I assume it is the stator, had always intended to get it going and just never got to it, and looks like I probably never will. It’s not seized, kicks over freely. I imagine the carb would need a rebuild too. The original owner went all out on this bike, aftermarket plastic, seat cover, hand guards, etc. All the original parts are in a box with it too. I have no idea how many miles on it, it was a full on dirt bike before it got kitted for the street. This was by far the most stupid fun bike I’ve ever ridden. Crack the throttle in any of the first three gears and she’d loft the wheel. Crazy torque, and was an absolute blast driving in Wpg. It’s piped so you can hear it miles away if you crank it. You’d have to throw the stock pipe back on temporarily to run it through a safety if you want it back on the road. Needs work, but once she’s going you won’t be able to stop smiling every time you ride her. I still have old registration and the original safety papers from when I bought it, so she’s definitely street legal. **I just bought a brand new high output stator from Quebec for almost $200. Everything should be there now to get it running if you know how to install it**
