My name is Andrew Miller and I was born and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia. I am a graduate of the Fountain School of Performing Arts where I completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Music. There I studied with pianist Peter Allen and won the Fountain Performing Arts Undergraduate Scholarship (2016), Professor Ray D. Byham Memorial Prize in Piano Studies (2015, 2016), and the Tietje Zonnefeld Scholarship for Piano Studies (2014).
I have always had a deep love for music and as a piano teacher, my immediate priority is to pass this on. Although there are essential skills which must be learned in order to facilitate students’ development, moving at a pace that each student is comfortable with is equally important in order for lessons to be enjoyable. I am a very patient person and enjoy guiding people through obstacles – my lessons are catered to the students!
