Music Lessons in Central London

Hi! My name’s Nathaniel Ninham, a Western Music (piano performance) Graduate and music teacher in Central London. I offer Piano (all skill levels), Trumpet (beginner), and Theory classes to students of all ages. I have 5+ years of teaching experience, both independently and through local music schools. I offer in-studio lessons at two locations, Central London and South London, as well as online options for extra convenience. I view lessons as a mix of learning the instrument itself, as well as developing a more general sense music appreciation. For younger beginners I focus on understanding fundamental the concepts of note reading, feeling a sense of rhythm, and understanding how the instrument works. This is done in a structured manor via a method book, along with various other supplemental material tailored to the student. For older and more advanced students, I enjoy elaborating on what makes music a complex and diverse experience. I enjoy explaining practical theory concepts, providing musical history anecdotes, and engaging in listenings which flush out my student’s understanding of musical styles. This can all be done while preparing for RCM exams and competitions if desired. I offer a promotional $10 first lesson if you'd like to test out if we're a good fit.
