Cello lessons / Music Composition lessons

Are you interested in learning to play the cello? Or, are you interested in developing your skills in music composition, music theory, and/or arranging?

I am a nationally award-winning composer, whose work has been performed in over a dozen countries around the world. I am an Associate of the Canadian Music Centre, a member of the Canadian League of Composers, and the Association of Canadian Women Composers. I hold a Master of Music degree, and have 15+ years' experience in running my own private music studio in Vancouver, BC.

As a cellist, I have 25+ years' experience performing with various ensembles, and my musical interests span everything from world music to classical traditions and beyond. As a dedicated private music teacher, I offer lessons in cello, music composition, and music theory, at very reasonable rates.

I teach online, from my home studio in Mount Pleasant, Vancouver. (Please note: I do not commute to teach in other peoples' homes). Previous musical background is helpful, but not required. My approach is flexible, and I enjoy working with students to help reach their individual goals.

During COVID times, I have switched to doing all of my teaching online, and I currently have students from across the country. Students from outside the Lower Mainland, BC, are also most welcome. Enjoy the comfort of taking lessons from your own space!
