If you accept a position at this hotel you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International.   Job Summary Perform general office duties to support Sales & Marketing (e.g. filing, sending emails, typing, faxing, copying)Prepare sales-related documents throughout the sales process (e.g. proposals, contracts, or banquet event orders)Maintain accurate profiles and databases of all accountsInputting decision information from clients based on input and direction from Sales Manager Gather materials and assemble information packages (e.g. brochures, promotional materials)Use sales techniques that maximize revenue while maintaining existing guest loyalty to MarriottEnter, retrieve, reconcile and verify information (e.g. commission, leads, third parties/intermediaries) in software program involved in the sales process (CI/TY)Answer guest questions about property facilities/services (e.g. hours or operation, rates and room types, promotions, restaurants, special events)Serve as a point of contact for clients and communicate with them by phone and email to respond to questions and requestsAssist Sales Managers in coordinating daily incoming and outgoing information to clients including proposals, contracts, mail, faxes, phone calls or messagesDaily maintenance of group blocks including adjustments for space requests and releases as requiredIn the absence of sales manager, continuously check and address all incoming email to create a flawless work flow to our clientsAssist in the organization, coordination and execution of specific functions and promotions handled by the sales team (e.g. familiarization tours, client events, sales calls, etc.)Prepare and disseminate all monthly, quarterly and annual reports and attend all sales meetingsPromote awareness of brand image internally and externallyPresent professional image through effective written and verbal communication skillsIn the absence of the sales managers, serve as a resource or contact for external and internal clients and provide effective problem solving and solutions-based selling for ongoing customer satisfaction and revenue growthAssist in market research, identify and communicate trends major shifts and business focus of the major market segmentsConduct site inspections, participate in familiarization tours and/or tourism events as requiredResponsible for office administrative duties including organizing site visits, processing purchase orders, ordering supplies, report generation as needed, participate in phone coverageHandle select projects as required by pre-determined priority by Sales Manager, Director of Group Market or Director of Sales & MarketingAll other duties as assigned Job Requirement Must possess exceptional customer-focused skillsMust be able to build and maintain credibility and relationships with customers (internal and external)Excellent written and verbal communication skills requiredStrong organizational and planning skills Excellent attention to detailProven ability in time management and handle multiple priorities; must be able to plan and execute effectively and efficiently and meet deadlines in a demanding environmentDemonstrate ability to work independently or in a team oriented environmentPossess a strong sense of urgency, pro-activeness and a high drive for resultsStrong knowledge of client and web-based software usage and navigationProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint requiredSelf motivated, high initiative, self-starter, reliable and strives to continually over achieve sales goals and targets Sets a positive example and fulfills responsibilities with the highest integrity, ethics and professionalism Minimum typing 50 words per minute     This company is an equal opportunity employer.         frnch1
