The Pedal Commander costs C$400+ and is a throttle enhancer. It essentially helps you press the gas harder, faster. A full tune changes lots of other parameters as well, like cam and ignition timing, to gain additional torque and HP along with enhancing the throttle response. Additionally, they have access to the transmission to smooth shifting, reduce gear hunting, and optimize shift points.
The tune is a fully realized solution that addresses all of the Tacoma's drivability issues. The PC addresses one issue (laggy throttle) but also might throw the truck into limp mode.
