Southbend S36A Description
With six burners and a convection oven, the Southbend S36A S-Series restaurant range is a two-in-one unit that maximizes efficiency and increases production. Great for compact kitchens, this unit measures 3612 inches wide by 4134 inches deep by 5912 inches high. Its stainless steel exterior withstands frequent use and resists rust and corrosion to preserve its original appearance. A 4-inch-deep stainless steel front rail adds space to the front of the burners to reduce injury risks while providing a convenient plating area. At the top of the unit, a removable shelf can support pots, pans, boxes, and other utensils, and the 6-inch stainless steel legs can be adjusted to prevent wobbling on irregular flooring.
The 3612-inch-wide open top's six burners each emit 28,000 BTU and feature removable cast iron grate tops. Operators can set each burner's heat levels with the front-mounted metal knobs that feature red lines to help users determine the heat level. For efficient operation, these one-piece, cast iron burners have a non-clogging design. During sauteing or frying, a one-piece crumb drawer beneath the burners catches grease and debris and can be removed for quick cleanup. To simplify cleaning after cooking, the backsplash behind the behinds protects nearby surfaces from popping oil.
For quick, uniform baking, crisping, and cooking, the Southbend S36A commercial range includes a 26-inch-wide by 2612-inch-deep by 14-inch-high convection oven. This oven's 12-horsepower high-efficiency motor works in tandem with the heavy-duty U-shaped burner to distribute heat evenly. Its snap-action thermostat can be set from 175 to 550 degrees Fahrenheit, while its sides and top are insulated with heavy, self-supporting, block-type rock wool to preserve heat. The two included oven racks can be placed on the five-position rack guides to achieve specific results as baking requirements change, and with the flip of a switch, this unit can operate as a standard oven for flexibility.
