Rosewood mid century modern (mcm) low cabinet sideboard buffet with 2 sliding doors {Buffet buffet bas en palissandre du milieu du siècle moderne (mcm) avec 2 portes coulissantes}
Description: Lovely rosewood mid-century modern (mcm) buffet / sideboard cabinet. Could be used for storing liquor / record / entertainment related items. Back panel is finished, so could be placed in centre of room. Two sliding doors with recessed rosewood pulls. A hole was drilled in the back board to allow passage of electrical wires.
There originally was a hutch cabinet on top of this unit, as one can see the four peg joiners. Floor protectors on the bottom.
It originally had one moveable shelf inside the cabinet. Five inner shelf adjustment peg holes, of 1/8” diam. spaced 1.25” apart vertically.
Dimensions: 41” W x 24” H x 15.75” D; Missing inner shelf: 39.25” W x 13” D maximum; Hole in back board: ~1.5” Diam.
Condition: Very good vintage condition (8.0 / 10). Missing one moveable shelf. Minor scratches. One oval stain on top surface (from plastic jug?). The veneer is in excellent shape and has no missing chips. The top surface can be easily refinished by hand using fine sandpaper, fine steel wool and teak oil.
