Drug and Alcohol Technician

Position Overview: We seek a Drug and Alcohol Technician to join our professional team. In this vital role, you will conduct drug and alcohol screenings, primarily for pre-employment and site access requirements. The successful candidate will contribute directly to upholding regulatory standards and supporting a safe, compliant workforce. Primary Responsibilities: Administer Point of Collection Testing (POCT) using Health Canada-approved drug testing kits. Conduct urine sample collections according to Chain of Custody protocols and prepare specimens for laboratory testing. Maintain complete accuracy and integrity in all testing activities and documentation. Ensure timely submission of results while safeguarding client confidentiality. Manage testing environments professionally and by relevant regulations. Maintain and update client databases, organize documentation, and file records correctly. Stay informed of industry best practices through ongoing research and training. Qualifications and Experience: Certification and experience in drug and alcohol testing are preferred but not required; comprehensive training will be provided. Must be committed to upholding all regulatory and compliance standards at all times. Must be highly coachable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a positive, service-oriented attitude. Proficiency in computer use for data entry and reporting is required.
