Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of equipment. Strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to continuous learning are essential for this role. Heavy equipment operation experience is considered an asset. Job Overview: Shift 1 Mon-Fri: 7am - 3pm Shift 2 Mon-Fri: 7pm - 5am
Key Responsibilities: Equipment Inspection: Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment, including heavy equipment (excavators, loaders, dozers, trucks & trailers, etc.), to ensure optimal performance and identify potential issues. Oversight of the companywide maintenance program.
Diagnosis and Repair: Utilize diagnostic tools and techniques to determine the cause of equipment malfunctions and perform necessary repairs or replacements on both light and heavy equipment.
Maintenance: Execute routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, lubrications, and tune-ups, to prolong the lifespan of all equipment, including heavy machinery.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work for future reference.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a secure working environment, especially when working with heavy machinery.
Qualifications: Experience: Proven experience in diagnosing and repairing small engines, pumps, trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment (e.g., bulldozers, graders, and excavators). Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities to effectively diagnose and resolve equipment issues. Manual dexterity and attention to detail when working with intricate components and large machinery. Proficiency with diagnostic equipment, repair tools, and heavy equipment maintenance. Excellent communication skills for interacting with team members and supervisors. Commitment to continuous learning to stay updated with evolving technologies and equipment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $33.00-$42.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
