The Grande Prairie Minor Soccer Association (GPMSA) invites applications from qualified individuals for the position of a full-time Technical Director of minor soccer.
Located in Northern Alberta, Grande Prairie is home to almost 70 000 residents, with many surrounding communities. GPMSA has been successfully running for over 20 years, with a focus on minor soccer in Grande Prairie. Over the last decade, the association has increased its focus to a dual track program, one of recreational soccer and the other to competitive “club soccer” within GP. Currently we organize indoor and outdoor seasons for over 1000 youth players. It is the goal of GPMSA to become the strongest soccer community in Northern Alberta, with programs for all abilities and age groups. We are looking for a strong candidate to help aid us in our achievement of this goal.
Qualifications: Minimum National B Soccer Coaching Licence or International equivalent Preference given to individuals with post secondary education; sports-related degree or diploma Completion of Technical Director Diploma is an asset Minimum 5+ years of experience coaching youth soccer Experience with sport administration, preferably youth sport Excellent organization, verbal and written communication skills Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekend events A team player, with the ability to operate as part of an integrated management team and volunteer staff Valid Driver’s Licence Clear Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check
Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
