Architectural Technician (NOC: 22210) Number of Positions Available: 1 Term of Employment: Permanent Position, 40 hours per week – Overtime Available Location of Work: 100 Keish St #100, Whitehorse, YT Y1A 0N9 Wage: $36.00 per hour Overtime Wage: $54.00 per hour, beyond 40 hours/week Language Requirements: English Benefits • Personal Health Care Spending Account We are currently seeking a skilled Architectural Technician to join our team as a full-time, permanent key contributor. The following are the main job duties: Responsibilities - Assist in the development of architectural designs. - Analyze building codes, by-laws, space requirements, site requirements and other technical documents and reports. - Prepare manual and computer-assisted design (CAD) drawings, specifications, cost estimates and listings of quantities of material from conceptual drawings and instructions. - Construct architectural and display models, and 3-D virtual models of architectural designs. - Prepare contract and bidding documents. - May supervise drafters, technicians and technologists on the architectural team. - May supervise construction projects and coordinate, monitor and inspect work done by others. - Coordinate with subconsultants, contractors, and local authorities having jurisdiction. - Liaise and collaborate with clients. Qualifications - Completion of college/university program in architectural technology or a related subject. - Work experience of 1-3 years. - Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Sketchup. - Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and rendering visualization software. - Detail oriented, independent learner, highly motivated, and deadline driven.
