Clip tunning. Clip the tuner onto your instrument. Turn ON/OFF: Press the power button and hold for 2 seconds to turn on (off) the tuner. Select tuning item: Press the power button continuously to select the tuning item out of Chromatic, Guitar, and Bass. In Chromatic mode, the display shows the string number and the note name. In Guitar and Bass mode, the display shows the string number and the note name. Play a single note on your instrument, the note name or and string number will appear in the display. The blacklight will change. And the meter moves. Backlight turns green; and the meter stands in the middle: in tune.
