Camperized Ambulance van conversion, diesel, 750w solar
Decommissioned ambulance converted into a camper van (#vanlife). I named it Amble. 2009 Chevy Duramax Diesel. Great engine. In perfect working order. I’ve lived in it for a year with no mechanical issues at all. Well-maintained with regular oil changes at every 5,000km. Just had a fresh oil change. It came straight from BC Ambulance. 385,000km on the odometer, give or take. It's a diesel and it has a lot of life left in it. Uses about 18L / 100km. The check engine light is on because of a sensor. There's nothing wrong with it. Large power system. 750W of solar panels on the roof (2@ 375 = 750). Charge controller, 2000W inverter, two 6V batteries, plus the other three batteries on board (five batteries total). When there's not enough sun, you can run the engine and plug in anything up to 2000W (a hot plate, a juicer, a blender, a microwave, even a hair dryer). Has a climate control HVAC with AC and heat. It’s insulated in the back and holds heat well. I was even able to heat it using only the front heater. Radio in the front and back, anti-theft, flood lights, fog lights, two 12v plugs. Can be connected directly to 110V shore power and I’m including an adaptor for 30amp to 15amp. Single bed frame bolted to the floor with storage underneath. Brand new memory foam mattress, never slept in. 24"x36" stainless steel counter with a shelf underneath. Tons of storage space and cabinets. I didn’t do much custom work on it. You could build it out with bathroom and shower if you wanted or do like I did and use gyms. Fragrance-free, pet-free, smoke-free. I’m sensitive to mold and took special care to keep this mold-free. Includes: Custom-fitted Reflectix for all the windows, including the windshield. Extra sun shield for the windshield. $10,000. I’m selling it undervalue because I’m leaving. With the solar system, bedding, counter, and extras that I’m including if you want them, it’s worth $12,000.
