The driver trainer has the important responsibility of teaching material handling workers how to safely operate a variety of lift trucks and ensure licensed operators are working at a maximum level of safety. This means that you work with our clients in a teaching capacity to deliver the necessary theoretical knowledge in class as well as the hands-on portion on the lift truck. Johnston equipment offers a hands-on, in-depth and renowned forklift driver training program which involves theory and practical orientation and testing. If people recognize your operational and technical skill in handling lift trucks you will find this job very interesting. The ideal driver trainer is a natural born problem solver with excellent people skills, and a passion for teaching and safety. Not to mention you pride yourself on your ability to make people feel at ease while learning to use complex equipment. This is not a position for someone who likes to sit at a desk. You will be on the go traveling within your territory to customer sites training employees in their own work environment all the while building strong working relationships with your customer base.
