It's powered by USB so no AC adapter is necessary, though there is an input for one. The associated (free) software is found at https://serato.com/scratchlive. Double check to see if your computer's operating software will work with it as it's legacy software. I used it with Windows 10 and 11 but I can't promise it will work with newer OS X versions as I don't own any Mac products to check.
