Handicapped Pets Dog Wheelchair
Handicapped Pets Blue Walkin' Wheels Size D (14"-17", for dogs over 65lb), including fully supportive front wheel kit and upgraded 12" pneumatic wheels.
We bought this for our Lab X (weighed about 75lb) to help her cope with a spinal injury. When it first happened in 2016, we thought we were going to have to put her down, as her hinds legs suddenly stopped working. However, with the help of this cart, she was able to rehabilitate her legs to the point where she could walk unassisted (she never ran again, but she could still swim). Sadly, she died of old age this winter, but we are grateful that we got to spend a couple more years with our pooch thanks to this wheelchair.
The kit is in good used condition and includes everything you'll need:
-Owner's Manual -Aluminum wheelchair frame -Upgraded 12" pneumatic rear wheels -2 sets of width and length connectors -Leg rings for rear support -Belly belt for mid-section support (we didn't use this) -Stirrups to keep rear legs from dragging -Front Harness -Front wheel assembly (struts, casters, legs etc.) -Chin bar -Front leg rings
This wheelchair can be configured for use with the rear wheels only, or as a fully supportive cart by adding the front wheels. Please note that this unit is for sale as a full kit only (ie. I don't want to sell the front and rear wheels separately). The price is $600 firm.
There are some good resources on the company's website (www.handicappedpetscanada.com) regarding sizing, assembly and operation.
