MEXXPOWER MX-TM-86H PTO TRACTOR WOOD CHIPPER/SHREDDER HYDRAULIC INFEED
The MexxPower MX-TM-86H is a robust compact PTO driven wood chipper with a self-contained hydraulic auto-feed system that features an impressive 6 inch capacity. This chipper weighs in at 710 lbs., with a 160 lbs. 25 solid steel flywheel. This machine can handle tractors of 50 plus hp. it was specifically designed for use on smaller sub compact tractors with as little as 15 ph. at the PTO such as BX series Kubotas, John Deere 1000 series, New Holland, Massy Ferguson GC series, Mahindra Max series, and more.
The Mexx Power MX-TM-86H wood chipper is compact, yet built to withstand commercial use. The aggressive hydraulically powered infeed roller grabs and pulls material into the chipper head using a powerful hydraulic motor. The motor is powered by the chipper’s self-contained hydraulic pump and 5 gallon reservoir tank.
True 8 x 6 infeed to easily accept those crooked branches. Although the opening is this size, the material you can chip is dictated by the HP of your tractor. With a 15hp tractor (at the PTO) you can expect to easily chip 4 material.
Large diameter (6.25) infeed roller that easily climbs up and grabs the branches to bite in and efficiently pull the material into the flywheel. This chipper equipped with 4 dual edge reversible carbon CR12 Knives and one bed blade. Reversible chipper blades can be flipped to take advantage of having two cutting edges on one blade.
Pressure Compensate Flow Control Valve allows for very precise infeed roller speed without causing back pressure on the hydraulic pump. This allows the user to regulate the speed of the infeed rollers to exactly match their tractors capabilities while increasing the life of the hydraulic pump.
The MexxPower MX-TM-86H requires a tractor with a category 1 or 2 three point hitch and at least 15 hp. at the PTO up to 50 hp. Chipping capacity is directly related to horse power and torque, therefore with 15 hp. you can expect to chip 3 hard and 4 soft material and with 50 hp. you can expect to chip any material up to 6 in diameter with no trouble. In testing a 25 hp. tractor gave excellent work to fuel consumption results. Tractors with more than 50 hp. will not over power and damage the wood chipper since it is shear bolt protected, but are simply going to burn more fuel to accomplish the same results.
Our MX-MT-86H PTO wood chipper is designed for easy maintenance. The rotor cover opens by removing only one screw to get access to the knives. For easy transportation, the input chute can be lifted up and secures with a pin.
