Used with a pulling or drawing motion, the steel hook blade takes off a thin layer of timber, varnish or paint on each stroke, allowing super fine control of depth & direction. Perfect for large, flat areas where a level finish is important! This is a venerable 1960s example with the classic red enamel painted beech handle & chrome plated steel blade clamp. A rare double hook model, it has a smooth finishing blade on one side & a wavy or corrugated blade on the reverse for roughing out.
