Unique 100% solar electric boat for sale. Powered by 4 x 435W Canadian Solar panels combined with 280Ah of LiFePO4 batteries combined into a 24V battery bank, this boat can cruise comfortably on the lake at 4 kts all day on nothing but sunshine. Can be charged at the dock (or via generator) using a standard extension cord, but the boat rarely if ever needs to be plugged in. The solar charger incorporates a 2000W inverter which powers 110VAC circuit inside with 2 outlets, and all boat's 12v circuits are also powered through a step-down converter. Motors are 2 x 24V, 50A electric outboard motors from Neptune Systems, and included are 2 x PWM motor controllers (not yet installed) to make it more efficient. Quick connect fittings on the motors make installing and removing them a breeze, so they do not need to be kept in the water when not in use. Battery bank is also easily removable (although heavy) so it can be stored indoors during the winter months. Includes everything you need to get going for the summer. Also includes custom made cradle (boat has a shoal-draft wing keel, very unique to this type of boat) which can be transported on a standard flat-bed double-axle trailer. Other things included are an oversized CQR anchor with chain and a new, never used rode, Garmin fishfinder, powered water at the faucet in the galley (with a 20gal water tank), cushions, new cabin sole flooring, and recently painted lockers. Solar array is constructed of linseed oil-treated lumber sealed with spar varnish, and fastened with SS fasteners and gorilla glue. Only needs in the near future would be some deck paint and the solar array could use a board or two replaced for sturdiness.
