Vintage RHEEM CALIFONE Tube TT w/ Oxford 8” Alnico speaker

*** AS-IS / FOR PARTS / REPAIR / RESTORATION / UPCYCLE / REPURPOSE *** Vintage Rheem Califone Executive II 6U-7C portable turntable with tube amplification and removable speaker that just happens to be a 1960’s (?) 8” Oxford AlNiCo Whizzer cone full-range driver. While the turntable and tube amp don’t seem to power on anymore, this speaker is ideal for vintage tweed Fender Champ-style guitar amp projects. The EIA code on the speaker is “465-42_” indicating that it’s an Oxford from the twentysomething week of either 1954 or 1964. There’s a ton of potential projects with this one from simply salvaging just the Oxford speaker to re-purposing both the speaker and wooden case with metal speaker grill into a guitar amp/cab to fully restoring this into a portable turntable setup, as it was originally meant to be. It’d be one heck of a vinyl setup as it once had the ability spin not just regular 33 and 45 rpm discs but also 75’s AND even those rare 16 rpm records. Asking $100 obo.
