Sr. Technical Business Analyst's help deliver the next generation of web-based experiences for our Customers. You will play an important role in gathering, documenting, and presenting requirements to ensure product deliverables meet user expectations. This individual will become a subject matter expert with our software application platform and support our product development lifecycle while building and maintaining collaborative relationships with all parties involved. The Sr. Technical Business Analyst conducts and analyzes business and information technology processes and prepares essential groundwork. Participates in the definition, testing, training, implementation, and support of system requirements. The BAs also support the project managers during our customer’s implementation phase as an application SME, conducting training, writing user guides, and developing current state & future state process maps. You will identify customer requirements, develops test schedules, reviews testing plans, and tracks and documents the development and results of these plans. You will coordinate with other Product Owners and Engineers on solutions through the design phase, QA, and deployments. You will alert project managers to the potential risks and issues of importance. You will uncover client requirements via industry-standard analysis techniques such as data flow modeling and object modeling. You will consistently monitor the regulatory space to ensure the product needs are in line with ongoing changes in the industry. Job Responsibilities Works with business system users to understand and document existing and future state processes. Writes User Stories based on requirements gathered from the business. Writes Business Requirement Documents (BRD). Writes technical Software Requirements Specifications (SRS) to ensure BRD content is captured correctly and can support the creation of the DDS by engineering. Works with Product Management, UX Designers, Developers, and QA Testers to deliver solutions in line with requirements. Validates system functionality to ensure ongoing quality expectations as per the BRD and SRS requirements. Understands ERP system integrations with an ability to identify solutions and mapping requirements. Works with Internal Product Owners and Development Teams to identify and remove impediments to the development process. Understands and effectively communicates core IT capabilities and methods. Follows IT procedures and processes related to systems development lifecycle. Creates and maintains systems documentation. Supports Project Management Office & Project Managers on client implementations. Supports Client delivery teams as they develop, test, and deploy solutions through go-live. Understands and documents client’s implementation challenges and uses OTB software features to solve problems Understand product roadmaps and identify customer experience gaps Continuously analyzes regulatory issues to identify the impact on current solutions in assigned areas and proactively coordinates with engineering to reduce risks for clients. Acts as an SME for software products and supports related end-user training during the implementation phase. Works with the Customer Success organization for ongoing escalated customer support (T3) and product roadmap feedback from clients. Assists with pre-sales efforts by means of drafting RFP responses and driving technical product demonstrations with a focus on solutions to client’s existing problem statements. May serve a dual role as the point of contact for both business users and technical staff to discuss and clarify the interpretation of business requirements to technical specifications. Performs other duties as assigned Requirements & Education Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information systems, or software engineering Experience: 6+ years of related experience as a business analyst/product owner in a software product company Experience in writing technical requirements 5+ years of experience working on complex software development projects and providing QA testing Experience with SQL / Oracle Database Experience with web service & API integration tools/methodology SCRUM experience preferred Executing test plans preferred Experience supporting Software Implementation Project Managers within the project management lifecycle (PML) Knowledge or experience with trade compliance is an added advantage Skills/Abilities: Inquisitive, analytical, and always learning mindset Strategic thinking with an engineering-minded approach to solving problems Working knowledge of risk assessment and mitigation techniques Excellent communication and writing skills Experience working in an Agile Environment Experience writing User Stories Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Organization of projects and initiatives Ability to work across teams and functional areas Proficient knowledge of Windows-based applications, specifically: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint Proficient project planning skills, including the ability to organize and prioritize overlapping and potentially conflicting priorities Company Description OCR International Ltd. is a newly formed CoE of OCR Services, Inc., a global company headquartered in the United States.
