IT/OT Technical Project Lead

Job Description:Job Description Eramosa, a CIMA + Company, is looking for an IT/OT Technical Project Lead with experience in industrial networking. Eramosa/CIMA work with clients in the Water, Wastewater, Renewable Energy, Utility, Transit and Mining sectors. Working with other members of our IT/OT communications teams, you will champion the delivery of high-quality IT/OT communications projects that meet or exceed client expectations and deliver planned profits. You will also be a strong safety proponent/leader for our safety policies and our culture of caring. In addition to delivering projects, you would be involved in various IT/OT communication-based consulting and design projects where you will leverage your technical expertise and experience to contribute to the design and consulting deliverables. Primary ResponsibilitiesProject management and delivery of IT/OT communication-based projectsLeverage experience to analyze the client’s needs and recommend solutionsManaging, planning, and organizing work with technical teams in the delivery of project deliverable requirements, including scope, fee, schedule, quality, health and safety, risk management, and change management plansProvide technical oversight on projectsTrack project progress and financial performancePrepare/review project report and documentationDeveloping, mentoring, and empowering the project team, including junior staffMaintaining regular and effective communication with clientsProviding support to business development and strategic initiatives, including preparation of proposalsDesign network architectures (LAN/WAN) in line with current needs and best practicesReview existing network architectures and recommend solutions ProfileBachelor’s degree in computer science program from an accredited post-secondary institute (or a related graduate degree from an accredited post-secondary institute)Significant experience in industrial OT networking environment including IT/OT convergence10+ years experience in IT/OT Communications/Networking role, including 4 in a lead roleRelevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, CCDE, RCDD, DCDCDemonstrated success and expertise in project planning, execution and management.Previous experience designing and implementing network architecture (LAN/WAN), server, physical, virtual and cloudExpert level knowledge in working with a variety of communication media including copper, fibre, radio, cellularExperience in working in a multi-disciplinary project team environment in preparing conceptual and detailed communication/network design drawings, specifications and reports; contract documents; and, approvals applicationsStrong technical writing skills demonstrated through experience in writing reports and proposalsExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsWorks well under pressure in a fast-paced deadline-driven environmentHighly meticulous nature, strong attention to detailAble to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyJob task planning and organizingExperience mentoring junior staff is considered an assetKnowledge in the following areas would be considered an asset:Backup and recovery as well disaster recovery solutionsKnowledge of cybersecurity best practices and solutionsKnowledge of cloud computing environments, including Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWSPLC and SCADA systemsWi-Fi, microwave, and other wireless networking technologiesIndustrial networking protocols (OPC, AMQP, MQTT, REST/JSON Interface) Company Description Eramosa, a CIMA+ owned company, is a vibrant, growing consulting engineering firm with offices in Guelph, Calgary, Kansas, Toronto, and London dedicated to developing long-lasting relationships with our clients based on trust, mutual respect, integrity, and technical excellence.
